I have a mbp 14, so that dreaded notch means I have limited space for menu bar icons. So all of my menu bar icons are one small square, not a wide, info-filled rectangle like ellie's tray. I dont have premium right now so I cant make sure that there isnt a setting already to make it a small square icon. The rectangle menu bar item might still be useful for others, so the icon could just be an option.
