Widgets are now available for all users!
You can access them on the latest version of the app store :)
You can read more about these widgets by checking out this page (https://guide.ellieplanner.com/features/iphone-ipad-app/ios-widgets) on our help center!
Thank you to everyone who beta tested these. This is just the beginning, I plan on making MANY improvements to them over the next few months ✌️

The widgets are great! Thank you for working on these. I have one very minor suggestion - could you make the text size on the 'Tasks' widget the same size as the text on the 'Upcoming events' widget? Not only would they look more consistent, you might also then fit 4 tasks (on the medium widget) instead of 3.
Chris
Bec: noted! Will try it out and if it looks good will address in a future update :)

The widgets are excellent thank you!!
Chris
Delon: Yay thank you for testing! :) lmk if you have any feedback

Delon
Chris: thanks! I see the calendar is for connected calendars only. Would love a calendar version of the time box!
Chris
Delon: Good callout, will make that change asap!
Chris
just made a change to support this! (no update necessary but you might need to open the app at least once to pull the latest data)

Delon
Chris: thanks man really appreciate it! And love the hamster on the tasks to do one haha
For the calendar it looks great, is it possible to get the calendar in the larger size as well just like the large task size option?
Chris
Delon: will work on this for v2!
Tried to get it in for v1 but realized that I want to do a few extra things to make use of the bigger real estate so saving this one :)
Chris
Thanks for everyone who reached out about the beta!
We're ready to test now 🥳
Just got approved by Apple and have a link you guys can join: https://testflight.apple.com/join/mX1G5TQi
The version is 3.13 and you should be able to add widgets to the homescreen once installed.
Let me know any feedback here or directly (chris@aloa.co)!

Chris: wooo! dunno if this is an apple limitation but i've seen other widgets that i can interact with from the widget itself. would be awesome if i could check tasks off from the widget (instead of it just opening the app).
Chris
Sarah: Had to remove from this release unfortunately! Will be coming in v2 though
For transparency: Interactivity is new in iOS 17 and there was such little documentation around it that I was absolutely struggling to get it working correctly 😅 it was 90% done but there were some performance issues I wasn't happy with so delaying until I get those resolved (shouldn't be long though!)

Sarah
Chris: awesome, looking forward to it!!
