Differentiate scheduled vs unscheduled tasks

Love the ability to schedule my tasks into my timeblocks for each day but I'm having a hard time quickly scanning/knowing what tasks are already scheduled vs. those that are not. I know that the time is updated on scheduled tasks but it's hard to scan and see which tasks have yet to be scheduled for a quick top of morning routine.

I'm a relatively new user to Ellie and I really love it! I concur that this suggestion (of some way to easily visually differentiate between scheduled and unscheduled tasks in the day's task list) would be a nice update. I would love if the background on the not-yet-timeboxed tasks on my day's list would be a slightly different background color than the timeboxed tasks (maybe light gray if they're timeboxed; white if they're not; so that the unboxed ones would pop a little). Or, as one of the other commenters suggested, a collapsible segment where the scheduled ones park themselves. I know that that the un-timeboxed ones are at the bottom of my list, but sometimes I don't realize they're not timeboxed yet, since the list is all visually the same. Thank you for considering this!

This is especially true of the daily planner "Finalize day" / timebox step. It's not clear which tasks have actually been scheduled and which ones still need to be.

+1! This would help me use my task list as an inbox for scheduling, rather than my list of tasks for the day (which is already reflected on my timebox/calendar).

+1-ing this. I really wish there was a way that once I've scheduled (or dragged) a task onto the calendar it appeared differently on the kanban list section. I have been using Akiflow, which I don't 100% love, but once you schedule a task it gets auto-moved to a pre-collapsed "scheduled tasks" part of today so my today task list is only small quick tasks I don't need to schedule.

This would be incredibly helpful! Being able to scan between the two can add a bit of friction to my planning process. It'd be cool if the time stamp could move to the top of the task - maybe it could high light in the corresponding label color?

Yes! That's my main struggle too
