Apple “share” menu?

iPhone- If I want to send, save or catalog something like a screenshot or webpage, the share menu pulls up a boatload of apps and other options.
To get them into Ellie, I have been pulling up the Email app, and addressing the note to my Ellie address so it will land in my Braindump.
Just wondering if there’s anyway that Ellie could actually *be one of those apps? How about on Mac too?
Thank you for all you do for us, Chris, you are truly a delightful human being.

I'll add my use case for this feature, in case helpful.
I often use the share sheet in iOS to turn a webpage into a task. Ex. research this saas product, buy this product, complete this survey, etc. I have a secondary list alongside Brain dump just for links I need to deal with at a later time or on another device. The share sheet would be a LOT more helpful than my current copy and paste.

I use this app on Mac and Iphone. Also has share sheet. Can send tasks into my Ellie using the email address.

David hi! II downloaded this app and tried using it to send a screenshot to my Ellie Braindump address, but it didn’t work. Any ideas? Thx!

Susan : Hey Susan!
Reading this I just realized email forwarding doesn't support attachments (the attachments feature came way later) but I'll look into what it would take to support it :)

Chris, pawsome! Ty! I use that a lot - sending screenshots to myself as Reminders ☺
Chris
Susan made some changes so email forwarding (hopefully) should support attachments!
There are some limits though, I think the attachments in total cannot exceed 10MB.
Give it a try and let me know if it works!

Chris hi! II’ve trieI’ve tried multiple times, including after a reboot, and I’m not seeing the picture attachment 🤔 only 244 KB - thoughts? Thank you so much for doing this, if we can get it to work, it will really change the game for me. 🩶

Ah I just realized that the attachment feature wasn't added to the iOS app yet!
Does it appear on desktop? You will need to first make sure you have the attachment power feature enabled: https://guide.ellieplanner.com/features/tasks/task-attachments
Unfortunately the attachment parsing only happens once you enable this power feature.
Let me work on bringing the attachment feature to iOS this week, will post an update here once thats out :)
Chris
Susan Attachments are now live on the latest version of the iOS app :)

Thank you for the kind words Susan :)
This is actually such an interesting idea, making a note to experiment with this and see what it would take on iOS!
